The active sitting revolution is sweeping across offices. With the right equipment, you can be more active while sitting. Active sitting develops and strengthens the muscles that maintain good posture and body alignment. Moving the muscles of the back and their abdominal "opponents" improves posture and relieves tension in the spine. Better posture provides more space for the internal organs, frees the diaphragm and optimises breathing.
Physical activity improves brain performance through epigenetic activation and prevention of certain genes: brain neurons are activated, memory is sharpened and blood flow to the hippocampus - essential for good memory - is improved.
